Jim Rich joined MPP&W, P.C. in August 2006 when his firm, Crancer & Rich, combined practices with MPP&W, P.C.

As a certified public accountant, Jim has prepared and supervised preparation of tax returns for a wide variety of clients for more than 30 years, including 15 as an equity owner in Crancer & Rich.  His experience includes tax planning and return preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates and trusts.  He has worked closely with hundreds of entrepreneurs to assure them the best business and tax results.  He offers a wealth of knowledge to the firm's clients.

Jim honed his research skills as a Ph.D. candidate in English literature at Washington University, and when he began his career as a CPA he quickly discovered these skills translated considerably to tax research.  As a result, associates and clients rely on Jim to provide them with incisive analyses of complex tax issues.

Jim is a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.  He has a B.A. from Cornell College and an M.A. from Washington University.  He completed his accounting and tax courses at St. Louis University.
