mprost@mppw.com Mike Prost has more than 25 years of experience working with businesses in all areas of growth and operation. As a distinguished business advisor, he provides companies with methods and processes to improve profitability, valuation consulting, litigation support services and more. Mike also works directly with entrepreneurs, helping them to develop the skills and attributes needed to achieve their business and professional goals.
Mike has been actively engaged in valuations of closely held companies, provided business consulting services including expert witness testimony and has been providing accounting, tax and other business advisory services since 1977 for closely-held business owners.
His industry experience includes a wide range of services with a strong emphasis on closely held businesses and professional practices. Industries include homebuilders, construction, real estate, medical and professional service firms, as well as other retail, manufacturing, and distribution establishments.
He has performed appraisals for equitable distribution of value, business damages, buy-sell agreements, estate and gift tax planning, buying and selling businesses, and other types of engagements. He has rendered litigation support services in wrongful-death, personal injury, breach of contract, forensic discovery, marital dissolution, and various business-damages cases, including lost profit analysis and business valuation issues.
Mike is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Missouri Society of CPAs, American Society of Appraisers, and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. In addition, he is a member of the Litigation Support Committee and Nominating Committee for PKF North American Network, an association of more than 96 independent accounting and consulting firms with offices throughout the world.
Mike is a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a degree in Business Administration.
